Prior to launching the Birch Group, Ryan Hubbard served as Special Assistant to the President for economic agency personnel at the White House. In that role as a commissioned officer to the President, Ryan led the team within the Office of Presidential Personnel responsible for maintaining over 1,200 political appointments, at all levels of seniority, at agencies including Treasury, Commerce, Agriculture, Housing & Urban Development, and the Small Business Administration.

Before working at the White House, Ryan spent two years at NASA as the White House Liaison, was Head of Human Resources for the Biden-Harris Transition team, and spent three years working for Senator Maria Cantwell in both Washingtons. Ryan also has ten years of private consulting experience as Director of Operations for Signal Group and McBee Strategic Consulting.

An operations and personnel expert with experience working for ambitious, mission-oriented organizations, Ryan is recognized for the ability to build and lead highly effective, consistent, and reliable teams that are adaptable to unpredictable circumstances. A proud graduate of the University of Washington, Ryan loves to travel, read, and go for long hikes with his dog Duck.
